Who Can Apply?
Any natural born female between the ages of 4-19 as of January 1, 2011 that is a resident of the United States can apply to compete in our 2011 National Pageant.

How Do I Apply:
Applying is easy all you have to do is click on Register Now. Fill out the Miss Next Model US Official Application and submit it along with a $25.00 application fee. If you are accepted you will receive a link to create your online portfolio and upload your pictures.

What if I am Not accepted to compete?
If for some reason you are not accepted to compete you will receive a full refund of your application fee. If you received any free gifts for registering early you can keep them.

What Is Expected Out Of A State Queen?
We expect our state queens to be respectful at all times while representing our pageant system. We also like to see a Well spoken, Confident and poised state queen.

What Are The Fee's To Become A State Queen?
The Fee to compete in the state pageant is only a total of $150.00 which includes your $25.00 application fee and a $175.00 Sponsor Fee if accepted to compete. Early register and you will save money and receive free gifts.

If I do NOT win a title in the State pageant, can I still enter Nationals?
YES. Any State contestant, who wins any optional in the State Finals, OR places in the Top 5 for the Division title is eligible and URGED to advance to the Nationals. We highly urge girls to challenge themselves and advance to the Nationals
If I do NOT win a title in the State pageant, can I still WIN Nationals?Of Course you can! Everyone starts on EQUAL ground with new judges and CAN WIN any title!
Am I Expected To Make Appearances?
You are not required to make appearances however we do encourage each state queen to make appearances. We believe that state queen's can make a difference in the lives of others.

Do I Have to Compete At The National Pageant?
No you are not required to compete at the National pageant, however we would love to have a state queen from every age division at our National pageant.

Can I Still Compete In Other Pageants?
During your reign as an Official Miss Next Model US queen you are allowed to compete in other pageant systems. We do not have a no compete clause in your state queens contract.

Is previous pageant experience required?
Absolutely not. Anyone is quite capable of doing well and even winning in our system regardless of prior pageant experience. We will provide you with all the information and help you need. We are looking for a confident young lady who can proudly represent her state. First time contestants make terrific contestants and can make wonderful winners!

Is there a swimsuit competition?
For "Teen" Ages 16-19, there is a Swimsuit optional competition.There are also additional optional contests offered.

Do I have to raise my sponsor fee, or can we just pay it?
It is up to you. You can either raise your sponsor fee, or you can just pay it. Whichever works best for you and your family. A lot of the girls will find that 1 or 2 members of the family, like grandparents will generously support you. While obtaining sponsorship can be fun and a great way to introduce your newly gained title to the people you already know in your community. It also helps build your public speaking skills and confidence to meet new people and seek sponsorship. Remember that the total State Pageant sponsor fee is only $175.00.

How can I get Sponsors?
Collecting sponsorship is very important. It will take some time and commitment on your part. You start with a list of potential sponsors such as friends and family members and their employers, etc. Plan your strategy, and make a plan to succeed! Schedule appointments to collect your sponsorships. When approaching potential sponsors, explain your goals, your desire to improve yourself by attending the Next Model State or National event, the charities you believe in and the scholarship opportunities. Let them know what your experience will entail. This will be extremely beneficial in developing your communication skills. This is an essential characteristic to have if you’re going to be the Next Model US.
Our goal is for contestants to collect 100% of the sponsorship fee. This is a tax-deductible advertising expense for those businesses that assist you with sponsorship. If you work hard on collecting sponsorship, it is possible that you will not incur any expenses out of pocket. In addition, hard working contestants receive material item sponsorships, such as a dress, tanning, a haircuts, etc.

Do I have to sell advertising to enter?
No, selling advertising is not required for the State Pageant. You will be given the opportunity if you wish to sell ads to receive special prizes or awards. and it is a great opportunity for you to gain recognition in your community, and earn great prizes for the National Pageant like FREE HOTEL NIGHTS! You will receive information that explains the price of the program booklet advertising and all of the prizes and awards that are available.
What are my biggest responsibilities as a Miss Next Model US Queen?
First and foremost, a Miss Next Model US queen must conduct herself as a role model at all
times, ESPECIALLY in crown and banner, but in all things she does to
enhance herself. It is your choice of making as many or as little
appearances at your own Hometown, State or Country. We seek a special
girl who is respectful of others and who wants to share her positive
spirit with those around her! You can promote yourself, your title, and
the pageant program through fun appearances, community service or
recommending your friends to the program.
